A masked gunman didn’t waste words when he walked into the Loren Food Mart in Oakland Park, firing a shot before demanding any money from the clerk, the ’s Office said.

Surveillance video shows the armed robber pacing outside the store at 3801 N.W. 9th Ave. about 6 p.m. on Nov. 21, and waiting for a car to drive out of the parking lot before going inside.

He walks up to the counter and fires a shot from a gun tucked in the right pocket of his black Nike hoodie. A puff of smoke is seen on video rising from the front of his jacket.

The store clerk, startled by the loud noise from the gun, turns around and hands over the cash, the video shows.

The armed robber stands about 5-foot-10 and weighs about 170 pounds with a dark complexion. Beside the hoodie, he was seen wearing a black baseball cap with a black T-shirt tucked under his hat, blue jean shorts, dark-colored shoes and a red bandanna covering his face.

Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes him from the video, or who has other information about the holdup, to Detective Robert Sokol at.
